Cayden and I would spend days and weeks in the hospital. Every child loves playing and learning and every mother loves seeing her child smile and grow.  The opportunity to learn to speak, walk, and use fine motor skills were severely stunted by the trauma he was facing. Before diagnosis, he walked and said “Thank you!” After diagnosis, he went backwards in all areas. Studies show providing soothing activities help relieve the effects of child trauma.
